Four problems behind every 2 a.m. call.
Each one costs a firm money, staff or buildings. rushproof is built around all four.
Councils judge you on response time.
Lack of responsiveness is one of the most common concerns councils raise when they switch management companies, according to a large BC firm that takes on those councils. The council hires and fires the firm.
rushproof times every call and every yes, so you can answer the council with a number.
Your managers can't switch off.
71%of community association managers report moderate to severe burnout. Not being able to disconnect after hours is one of the top challenges property managers name.
Noise waits for the office. Water wakes only the plumber. Your manager is rung only when the problem needs a manager.
Water sets the bill.
60%+of BC strata corporations face water deductibles above $50,000, and high-risk buildings commonly carry $250,000 to $500,000.
A message read at 8:30 lets the water run for hours. rushproof rings the building's plumber while the resident is still on the line.
The record has to hold up.
An insurer, a council or the Civil Resolution Tribunal will ask what was reported and when.
rushproof writes every call down as it happens, with the time of each step. No audio is kept.
What your firm gets.
The desk.
Answers every resident call at any hour. Says it is the automated assistant, checks for danger first, then rings your list in your order until someone presses 1 twice. Then the backup, the office, and an alarm.
The 7:02 report.
One email covering the night: every job, who said yes and how long it took, and the calls flagged for your team. Your response time, in writing, ready for a council meeting.
The Switchboard.
Every building on one screen. Jobs with the trade and the price, tickets, viewings, the on-call rota and your contractors. Each manager sees only the buildings you give them.
Every building on one screen.
The rushproof Switchboard is where your team sees every call the desk took, who was rung, and what still needs a person. It works on a computer and installs on a phone like an app.

Shown with demonstration data. On a phone, swipe each screen sideways to see all of it.
What lands in your inbox at 7:02.
One email covering the night. Forward it to the council as it is.

What you have now, next to rushproof.
Three common ways firms cover the night today.
| What happens | Voicemail | Staff phone on rotation | Answering service | rushproof |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Picks up at 2 a.m. with no queue | No. A recording. | Only if the person on call wakes up. | On most lines we timed, 2 to 4 minutes or more before a person. One never answered. | Yes, every call. |
| Rings your trade while the resident is still on the line | No. | After the manager calls back. | Varies by service. | Yes. |
| Keeps ringing until a person presses 1 twice | No. | Up to the manager. | Varies by service. | Yes, in your order, then an alarm. |
| Sorts by the problem, so a party upstairs wakes nobody | No. | The manager is woken to decide. | Varies by service. | Yes. |
| A timestamped written record by morning | No. | Whatever the manager writes down. | Varies by service. | Yes, every call, by 7:02. |
| How it is billed | Free. | Staff time and overtime. | Often by the minute. | Per door, never by the minute. |
Answering services differ. Where we have not tested what a service does, the table says so. Hold times are from nine published after-hours lines we timed by hand in September 2026.
What we need from you to build it.
Your buildings.
Names, addresses and the details a trade needs to get in.
Your trades and your on-call list.
Plumbers in the order you want them rung, then your on-call manager, backup and office line.
Your response plan.
What counts as urgent at your buildings. rushproof follows the plan you approve, and your managers make the calls that need a person.
A test night.
We run a test overnight leak through your own list. You call the desk, watch your list get rung, and get the 7:02 report. Then a written scope and quote.
What firms ask before they sign.
What if nobody on our list answers?
rushproof keeps going down your list: your plumbers, then your on-call manager, your backup and your office line. If the whole list has been tried and nobody has accepted, an alarm goes off. Every step is in the report.
Do residents know they are talking to an automated desk?
Yes. Every call opens with "Emergency desk, this is rushproof, the automated assistant. This call is written down." If a caller asks whether they are speaking with a person, it says plainly that it is a virtual assistant.
What happens with a fire, a gas smell or someone trapped?
The caller is told to call 9-1-1 first, every time. For a gas smell, the first words are to get everyone out and call 9-1-1 once outside.
Where is our callers' information kept?
With the technology providers we name in our data processing agreement, which process it in the United States. We do not claim Canadian data residency. No audio is recorded. Word-for-word transcripts are kept for two years, then deleted, so a later insurance claim or question can be answered from the record.
Will it promise a resident an arrival time or a cost?
No. It tells the resident who has been rung and that a text follows when someone accepts. Questions about money, insurance or responsibility are written down and flagged for your team.
Does it answer email?
No. rushproof answers the phone. Email to your firm still comes to your firm.
Who decides what counts as urgent?
You do. rushproof follows the response plan you approve, building by building, and your managers make the calls that need a person.
Are we locked into a long contract?
Founding firms are month to month, with the rate locked for two years and no setup fee. The written scope and quote come before anything is signed.
One price per door.
Never billed by the minute. $299 monthly minimum, plus GST, or HST in Ontario.
A 100-unit building is $125 a month.
Test it on your buildings.
We load your buildings, trades and on-call list into a live desk, then run a test overnight leak through it. The build, the test call and the written scope cost nothing and carry no obligation.
